kris, keris: n. a certain kind of blade shape.
Kris are forged double edged bladed weapons, used in the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. Normally created as swords or knifes. Even though they come in various shapes and sizes, all kris have a wavy blade. Their unique shape allows the holder to more easily accelerate the weapons when it is inside the enemy's body. Thus cuts are more facile to be performed.
